STEAMED WHITEFISH

 

Ingredients:

(makes 01 serving)

  • 150g White fish fillet                                            
  • Salt
  • 1tbsp Fresh ginger finely chopped
  • 2tbsp Spring onion finely chopped
  • 1tbsp Light soy
  • 4 cloves Garlic sliced
  • Spray oil

Method:

  • Wash and dry the fish. Then season both sides with salt.
  • Place the fish on a plate and scatter the ginger evenly and then steam it for approximately 10-15min according to the size of the fish.
  • Sauté the garlic till golden brown.
  • Sprinkle light soy, sautéed garlic and the spring onions and serve.

Tips for steaming the fish:

  • Put at least 1 inch of water in the bottom of the pan or a steamer, cover it with a lid and bring to boil.
  • Lay the fish on a rack and cover with a lid.
  • Use a chopstick to see whether the fish has been cooked. If the chopstick goes through without any resistance that means its fully cooked.
