PRAWN NIGIRI SUSHI

 

Ingredients:

  • 150g prawns
  • 50g sushi rice(raw)
  • 100ml water
  • 1 teaspoon sushi rice seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Japanese mayo 
  • ½ nori sheet

To serve: 

  • Japanese soy sauce
  • Wasabi paste
  • Pickle ginger

Instructions:

  1. Wash the Rice well and cook with 100ml water on medium low heat. Season the rice with rice vinegar according to packet instructions.
  2. Next clean the prawns, get rid of the shell and boil the prawns for approximately 2-3 minutes. 
  3. Once the rice is cooked and seasoned start making the rice in to ball shapes, then on each rice ball place a piece of prawn and tie it with a small piece of sea weed paper. Top with Japanese mayo.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy.
