Ingredients:
- 150g Red Meat (Lean Beef, Veal, Lamb Leg, Kangaroo, Goat, Camel)
- 1 pita bread
- 50g cabbage, shredded
Marinade:
- 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil (7g)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 5g jalapeño chili pepper, chopped
- 10g cilantro leaves. finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Marinate the meat: Whisk to combine olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, vinegar, sugar, black pepper, and cumin in a bowl. Stir in the minced garlic, chopped jalapeños, and chopped cilantro.
- Add the sliced meat into the marinade, tossing the meat a few times to coat. Chill for at least 15 minutes.
- Next set a skillet over medium-high heat and let it heat up for 1 minute. Add the meat, cook for 4 to 5 minutes, or the desired doneness.
- Once done add the shredded cabbage to the meat and sauté for another minute, season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Now add the mixture to the pita bread and fold the bread in half. Seal the edges with a folk.
- Cook in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat for approximately 3 to 4 minutes till the bread is well cooked.
- Cut in half and enjoy.
