Ingredients: The ingredient amounts are for one servings.

  • Egg 2
  • Crumpet 2
  • Cheddar Cheese 30g or 1 oz, ½ fat
  • Honey 1 tsp
  • Chilli Flakes ¼ tsp

Instructions:

Place the two sourdough crumpets into the air fryer basket. Evenly top the
crumpets with grated cheddar. Drizzle the hot honey generously over the cheese.
Carefully place the 2 whole eggs into the basket next to the crumpets.


Set the air fryer to 180°C (356°F). For cold eggs (straight from the fridge): Air fry for
7 minutes for medium/runny eggs or 8 minutes for large eggs. For room
temperature eggs: Reduce the cooking time by exactly 1 minute. The crumpets will
become golden and crisp on the bottom while the cheese melts and bubbles on
top.


Once the timer finishes, immediately remove the eggs and place them into egg
cups. Carefully remove the tops of the eggs with a knife or egg topper. Take the
cheesy crumpets out of the basket and slice them into thick strips (soldiers).

Serve the hot honey crumpet soldiers alongside the eggs for immediate dipping.
Season the eggs with a pinch of salt and extra chilli flakes if you prefer even more
heat.
