WHITEFISH SALAD
Ingredients:
(makes 01 serving)
- 150g whole smoked whitefish
- 2 tbsp fat free mayonnaise
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- pinch salt
- pinch black or white pepper
- 2 tsp capers – optional
- 2 Tbsp chopped dill/spring onion – optional
- 2 Tbsp minced red onion or shallot – optional
- 100g carrot (shredded)
- 100g cabbage (shredded)
Method:
- Flake the fish or cut it to Cubes
- Open the smoked whitefish and carefully lift out the bones. Remove the meat and place in a mixing bowl. Using two forks or your hands, finely flake the fish or cu the fish fillet into equal size cubes.
- Mix the salad:
- To the fish in the mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and pinches of salt and pepper. If using, also add the capers, dill, red onion and the shredded cabbage, carrot. Toss until well combined and season.
