Simple Sourdough French Toast

 

Ingredients: (Makes 1)

  • Sourdough bread 2 slices
  • Banana 1 medium-sized banana
  • Egg 1 chicken egg
  • Skim milk 2 tbsp
  • Ground Cinnamon 1/4 tsp
  • Olive Oil 1 tsp
  • Honey 1/2 tsp drizzled over
  • Blueberries 1 handful

Instructions:

Get all of your ingredients ready and place them on your countertop.

Grab a bowl and crack an egg into it. Add a splash of milk along with the ground
cinnamon. Lightly whisk using a fork. If you like, pour the mixture onto a plate to
make soaking the bread easier.

Next, add the olive oil to a pan on low-medium heat. As the pan heats, soak the
bread on both sides before adding them to the pan.

Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. If there is any remaining egg mixture, you can
pour this over the bread slowly (for the bread to absorb) as it cooks.

Once cooked, place the bread on a plate, drizzle with 1/2 tsp of honey and serve
with a handful of blueberries and a chopped banana.
