SEAFOOD CABBAGE SOUP
Ingredients:
- 1/4 onion
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 100g mixed seafood (calamari, prawns, clams, mussels etc.)
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon jalapeno
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds
- 1/4 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 300ml vegetable stock
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tomato
- 250g cabbage
- salt as required
- black pepper as required
Method:
Step 1 / 2
Heat butter in a saucepan over moderate flame. Add sliced onions in the saucepan and sauté them over medium flame till they are golden in colour. Once done, add the garlic and jalapeno. Continue to sauté for another two minutes. Add coriander and dry mustard, and the finely diced calamari. Stir well.

Now add the vegetable stock and tomatoes. Make sure that the saucepan is uncovered and simmer the ingredients for about 10 minutes. Then add cabbage and cook for another five minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
