  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil (7g)
  • 50g Onion, chopped
  • 5g green chili, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 20g oats
  • 1 tablespoon Almond Milk
  • 1 whole Egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Coating:

  • 30g whole wheat Flour
  • 1 whole egg for dredging
  • 50g panko, bread crumbs

Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon Tonkatsu sauce (find in Asian food section)
  • 50g cabbage, shredded

Instructions:

  1. Mince the onion.
  2. In a large bowl, mix in the onion, ground meat, oatmeal, Worcestershire sauce, milk, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Knead well with hands until the meat mixture becomes pale and sticky.
  4. Divide into 5 – 6 balls.
  5. Toss from one hand to another to release the air in the cutlet balls.
  6. Prepare 3 separate bowls for the flour, beaten eggs, and panko.
  7. Dredge and coat each patty in flour first, then the egg, and last the panko. You can lightly press the patties into the panko to get a nice coating.
  8. Put around 2 -3 patties in air fryer at a time. Coat each side evenly with the olive oil spray.
  9. Air fry at 360F-370F for about 10-15 minutes. Turn the heat up to 390F for an additional 2 min to get a nice golden-brown crust.
  10. Serve with thin sliced cabbage and tonkatsu sauce.
