GROUND BEEF PASTA

Ingredients:

  • 150g Ground Red Meat (Lean Beef, Veal, Lamb Leg. Kangaroo, Goat, Camel)
  • 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil (7g)
  • 60g penne pasta (raw weight)
  • 50g chopped onions
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes 
  • 150g canned tomatoes, chopped
  • 10g spring onions 
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Bring a medium-sized pot of water to a boil over medium-high heat. Add the pasta and cook until just tender. Drain and set pasta aside.
  2. Heat the oil skillet over medium heat. Add the onions, garlic, ground beef, salt, and red pepper flakes and cook, stirring occasionally, until meat is cooked through and no longer pink, for about 8 minutes.
  3. Stir in the chopped tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Remove from heat, stir in the cooked pasta.
  4. Cook for another 3- 5 minutes. Once done add the chopped spring onions and serve warm.
