Golden Glow Porridge

 

Ingredients: (Makes 1)

  • Oat Milk 185ml or 6.3 fl oz, unsweetened
  • Flaked Almonds 1 tsp
  • Ground Ginger 1/8 tsp
  • Ground Cinnamon 1/4 tsp
  • Ground Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Banana 1 medium
  • Oats 60g or 2.1 oz
  • Raisins 1 tbsp
  • Chia Seeds 1 tsp
  • Maple Syrup 1 tsp
  • Vanilla Extract 1 tsp

Instructions:

Begin by slicing the banana into thin rounds.

In a saucepan, combine oat milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, salt,
vanilla extract, and maple syrup. Heat the mixture on a low flame, whisking
occasionally to ensure even distribution of spices.

As the milk warms, stir in the oats and sliced bananas. Continuously stir to prevent
the oats from sticking to the bottom and ensure the banana slices infuse their
flavor into the porridge.

Allow the mixture to cook on a gentle simmer until the oats soften and swell,
absorbing the spiced milk and forming a creamy consistency—typically around
10-12 minutes.

Once your porridge achieves the desired thickness, remove from heat.

Pour the creamy porridge into a bowl, and elegantly garnish with raisins, chia
seeds, and flaked almonds.
