Ingredients:

  • 45g Oats 
  • 1 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder (35g)
  • 130ml Water
  • 80g Curd 
  • 5g Ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 Green Chilli, finely chopped
  • Salt, to taste

For Tempering:

  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil (7g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chana dal 
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds 
  • 5g Curry leaves

Instructions:

  1. To begin making the Curd Oats Recipe, we first need to cook the oats in plain water.
  2. Bring a cup of water to a boil in a saucepan, add the oats, and season with salt, mix and simmer for 3 minutes until the oats are cooked. Turn off the heat and keep it aside to cool.
  3. Take a bowl, add curd and protein powder, and beat till silky smooth texture.
  4. To the curd add the finely chopped ginger and green chili and the cooled oats. Mix well to combine. If the curd oats are too thick, add a little water to bring it to the desired consistency.
  5. To temper, heat oil in a pan on low heat, add the dal and mustard seeds and let it splutter.
  6. Once the mustard seeds have spluttered add the curry leaves. once the curry leaves crackle turn off the heat.
  7. Add this mixture over the prepared curd oats and mix well. Season with salt if required and serve.
