CRISPY SAUTEED CARISMA POTATOES

 

Ingredients:

  • 200g Carisma potatoes 
  • 1 teaspoon Butter (7g)
  • Fresh rosemary leaves
  • Fresh chopped parsley
  • Black pepper, to taste

Method:

Step 1

Wash the potatoes but do not peel them.

Step 2

Cut them into 1-inch (2.5cm) cubes.

Step 3

Put them in a large pot of water and bring it to the boil. Add a pinch of salt. Turn down the heat and simmer them for 10 minutes or until not-quite-tender.

Step 4

Heat some oil in a skillet, adding some butter too if liked. can add some fresh rosemary here too (or chopped parsley). Drain the potatoes, then sauté them in the skillet until golden brown and crispy.

Step 5 

Add some salt partway through. Cut one potato cube in half to check it’s tenderness. Grind in some more salt and maybe some black pepper too, then serve hot.
