Ingredients:

  • 150g Red Meat (Lean Beef, Veal, Lamb Leg, Kangaroo, Goat, Camel)
  • 1 pita bread
  • 50g cabbage, shredded

Marinade:

  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil (7g)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 5g jalapeño chili pepper, chopped
  • 10g cilantro leaves. finely chopped 
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the meat: Whisk to combine olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, vinegar, sugar, black pepper, and cumin in a bowl. Stir in the minced garlic, chopped jalapeños, and chopped cilantro.
  2. Add the sliced meat into the marinade, tossing the meat a few times to coat.  Chill for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Next set a skillet over medium-high heat and let it heat up for 1 minute. Add the meat, cook for 4 to 5 minutes, or the desired doneness. 
  4. Once done add the shredded cabbage to the meat and sauté for another minute, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Now add the mixture to the pita bread and fold the bread in half. Seal the edges with a folk. 
  6. Cook in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat for approximately 3 to 4 minutes till the bread is well cooked. 
  7. Cut in half and enjoy.
