Sweet & Spicy Beef Pappardelle

Ingredients: The ingredient amounts are for two servings.
- Pappardelle 150g or 5.3oz, dried
- Onion Powder 1 tsp
- Garlic Powder 1 tsp
- Paprika ½ tsp
- Dried Oregano ½ tsp
- Salt pinch
- Black Pepper twist
- Beef Mince 250g or 8.8oz, lean
- Brown Onion 1, medium
- Honey 2 tbsp
- Chilli Oil Crisp 2 tsp
- Vegetable Stock 150ml or 1.7fl oz
- Tomato Puree 1 tbsp
- Single Cream 80ml or 2.7fl oz, light
Instructions:
Heat a pan over medium heat with a little oil. Add the diced onion and cook for
about 5 minutes until softened. Add the minced beef and cook until browned,
breaking it up as it cooks. Stir in the seasoning.
Add the tomato purée and chilli oil and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the honey,
vegetable stock, and single cream. Simmer for about 15 minutes until slightly
thickened.
Bring a pot of salted water to the boil and cook the pappardelle according to
packet instructions.
Transfer the cooked pasta straight into the sauce and toss well to coat.
Spoon into bowls and finish with chilli flakes if you like extra heat.
