BEEF SLOPPY BURGERS

Ingredients:
- 150g Ground Red Meat (Lean Beef, Veal, Lamb Leg, Kangaroo, Goat, Camel)
- 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil (7g)
- 1 whole-wheat hamburger bun or English muffin
- 50g onions, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tablespoon paprika
- 50ml water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Cook the ground beef in oil for 7-8 minutes or until no longer pink, then remove from heat, drain, and set aside the ground beef;
- In the same skillet, add the onions and cook for 2-3 minutes or until tender;
- Add in the garlic, stir, and cook for an additional minute then Stir in the tomato paste and the ketchup.
- Mix in the brown sugar, mustard, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper and stir well.
- Mix in the water and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the water evaporates.
- Serve the mixture on the toasted bun and enjoy.
