BEEF TATAKI SALAD

 

Ingredients:

  • 150g lean beef
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil (7g)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar free syrup
  • 100g cabbage
  • 150g carrot shredded
  • 2 spring onion 
  • 1 red chilli 
  • 20g coriander leaves 

Method:

  • Heat a non-stick pan to very hot. Brush the beef all over with oil, season, and then sear for about at least 3 minutes on each side until brown.
  • Mix the soy sauce with sesame seeds and sugar free syrup. Take 1 teaspoon of this dressing and brush over the meat, then roll the meat and sprinkle some sesame seeds (keep any left over). Wrap the meat in clingfilm and chill in the fridge for an hour.
  • To serve, shred the cabbage, carrot, spring onion and chilli, keeping the shreds in neat piles. Slice the beef very thinly. put some of each veg on each meat slice, add coriander leaves and a drizzle of dressing, and roll up or else add the shredded beef and all other ingredients, toss well, and serve.
  • Sprinkle with more sesame seeds and serve with remaining dressing for dipping.
